2022 Camp Avanti WILL be held in person!
Camper and Practicum, Staff and Volunteer Applications are now open.
Campers will attend Sunday July 3 to Friday July 8, 2022.
We are looking forward to seeing old friends and welcoming new ones!
For campers 13-16 years old, we will have familiar and new options for you in 2022!
TESTING: All participants (campers, staff, volunteers) will need to have a negative test within 48 hours of arrival at camp. Any person with a confirmed positive covid test will need to leave camp. Testing will be used to assist in evaluating symptoms thereafter.
SYMPTOMS: Symptoms of Covid and other illnesses will be closely monitored by medical staff, with an option for temporary quarantine available. Medical staff will determine the need to leave camp.
MITIGATION: Campers will stay with their groups and avoid indoor spaces such as the dining hall by eating out of doors or in their cabins. Some air purifiers will be available for use in cabins and other indoor spaces. Masks are not required at Camp Icaghowan, but individuals are welcome to use them.

Camp Avanti Programs
Avanti provides a variety of programs to serve the needs of children, therapists and the community. The children we serve are those who have average or above average intelligence but have diagnosed learning disabilities and/or sensory processing dysfunction. These children may also have poor coordination, attention deficits, hyperactivity and/or inadequate motor planning skills. Because Camp Avanti has been designed for group experience, therapeutic support is geared toward facilitating peer interaction with camp activities. Staff/camper ratio is three–five staff to eight children during daytime activities.
